Roscoff
Roscoff, a former privateer town on the north Finisterian coast, is ideally situated between Brest and Morlaix.
The exceptional architectural dimension of Roscoff no longer needs to be demonstrated; modelled by privateers and shipowners, the town has become one of the places on the Breton coastline that best symbolises the gentle sea.
Whether it's for scientific research at the biological station, to enjoy the benefits of the sea at France's first thalassotherapy centre or to board one of the Brittany Ferries, there is always a reason to come to Roscoff.
Between fine sandy beaches and granite chaos, it is the diversity of the landscape that strikes the visitor. As you walk around, you are immediately drawn in by the contrasting colours, the grey of the granite, the green of the fields, the blue of the sea...
Roscoff, the gentle city where the granite facades still echo with the activity of the shipowners (linen, wood, salt trade...), is a city proudly turned towards the sea with its ferry departures for England and Ireland, its fishing and yachting harbour or its thalassotherapy.
It has many assets combining the benefits of the sea, an economic dynamic and the permanent mildness brought by the Gulf Stream.
Along the 14 kilometres of coastline, visitors can walk along the coastal path and enjoy a breathtaking view of the island of Batz, the bay of Morlaix or the Perharidy peninsula.
